Child Protection
|
BTA adheres to the Child Protection Policy and Guidelines of the LTA. LTA Clubmark accreditation, as awarded to BTA in May 2008, requires tennis clubs to review and develop its Child Protection policies, procedures and guidelines, tailoring them to the club’s own specific setting.
All coaching staff at BTA are qualified and licensed, which ensures that they are vetted by the LTA Coaching Department and have enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance. BTA has adopted the LTA guidelines and codes of conduct for the recruitment of all its volunteers, including those working with junior members. A number of documents relating to BTA’s Child Protection policy and procedures can be viewed or downloaded here: Child Protection Policy CPO Responsibilities Safe Recruitment Practices Code of Conduct - Working with Children Photography Policy Juniors Travelling Away In accordance with Clubmark requirements, parental/guardian/carer consent may be required for junior members participating in BTA tennis activities.
